201, 304, and 316 stainless steels differ significantly in composition, corrosion resistance, and applicable scenarios, making them important references when choosing tableware.
201 stainless steel has a relatively high manganese content, weak corrosion and oxidation resistance, and low tolerance to salt and acidic ingredients. Prolonged storage of soups, vinegars, pickled foods, or in humid environments can easily cause yellowing, oxidation, and rust spots. The material has average stability and is more suitable for non-food-contact products, not recommended for long-term use as everyday tableware.
304 is a commonly used food-contact grade stainless steel, with a reasonable metal composition ratio, stable structure, and excellent acid and alkali resistance as well as oxidation resistance. For daily storage of hot and cold rice, fruits, vegetables, and soups, it is resistant to corrosion and rust spots, making it suitable for ordinary household bowls, plates, kitchenware, and more, meeting the basic needs of daily household use.
316 stainless steel is based on 304 by adding molybdenum, further enhancing its overall corrosion, salt, and acid resistance. It is more capable of tolerating high temperatures and humidity, and is less susceptible to heavy-flavored meals or long periods of holding liquid food. The material is more stable, suitable for infant tableware, portable lunch boxes, and frequently used outdoor tableware, offering greater stability and durability in overall use.
The performance of these three tiers increases step by step, allowing you to choose appropriately according to different needs such as everyday home use, mother and baby use, and outdoor travel.
